We tested the preferences of females E. ornata and E. оleracea in choice experiments. Heterospecific courtship in Eurydema is interrupted at an earlier stage than in Nezara. One of the mechanisms to prevent interspecies copulation may be strong differences in the structure of courtship signals of these species.
